Another record-breaking year at IJIC

IJIC International Journal of Integrated Care

More than 200 submissions were received and almost 100 papers published during 2022.

The 20th anniversary editorial has been published, following the launch of the special issue. Always Look on the Bright Side – Lessons Learned from Another Decade of Integrating Care (ijic.org)

At ICIC22, IJIC hosted a very successful World Café session dedicated to lessons learned from the 20th anniversary special issue articles.

During 2022, IJIC published three conference supplements:

NAICIC1 Toronto 2021
ICIC21 Virtual Conference

IJIC published, for the first time, dual-language abstracts for full papers – in Catalan, French and German – potentially extending its reach to readers with first languages other than English.

IJIC had its first ever survey of authors and reviewers in 2022 and will continue this on an annual basis.

The IJIC Board met four times and were pleased to welcome Ye Fan Wang Glavin as a member this year.  Professor Glavin is linked with both Case Western Reserve University in the USA and Peking Union Medical College in China.

IJIC’s latest Call for Papers is open until 31 March 2023: The Integrated Care Workforce: What does it need? Who does it take?

The IJIC Editors’ Office Hour began in 2022, giving prospective authors the opportunity to speak directly with editors for advice on submissions.  The model has evolved into joint webinars with IFIC hubs/regions where IJIC editors share their ‘how to get published’ know-how.

The People-Driven Care special collection editorial has been published and the collection will formally launch in the new year. From People-Centred to People-Driven Care: Can Integrated Care Achieve its Promise without it? (ijic.org)
