Today, 8th March is International Women’s Day and we would like to take the opportunity to once again recognise some of the great women who are advancing the science, knowledge and adoption of Integrated Care around the world. Here is a selection of some of our very best presentations that took place in 2017 from women leaders who are working tirelessly to make excellent patient care and experience a reality for people, their families and communities worldwide.
Nuria Toro from the World Health Organization (WHO) responsible for the delivery of the WHO Framework on integrated people-centred health services.
Helen McEntee, Minister for European Affairs and formerly Minister of State for Mental Health and Older People in Ireland and chair of the Irish Government’s youth mental health task force, an organisation working to increase awareness of mental health issues among young people.
Helen Gilburt, Fellow in Health Policy, The King’s Fund who is an expert in health service research with a particular interest in mental health and service user and carer involvement.
Dr Aine Carroll, National Clinical Director for the Health Service Executive, Ireland responsible for the delivery of a nationwide integrated care programme.
Melissa Fox, Chief Executive, Health Consumer’s Queensland who is leading the organisation to support consumers and health providers to collaborate together to improve the safety and quality of health services.
