1: Patients or caregivers with experience relevant to the conference’s central theme actively participate in the design and planning of the event, including the selection of themes, topics and speakers.

Patients and Caregivers will sit within the scientific committee and organizing committee working in equal partnership with all stakeholders to help organize the conference.

2: Patients or caregivers with experience of the issues addressed by the event participate in its delivery, and appear in its physical audience.

Patients and caregivers will be part of our key note speaker team for plenary sessions. They will also lead and take part in breakout sessions. Patientville will also take place in the exhibition area he chance to experience first hand what it feels like to have relevant information about your disease and medication shared between the different sectors and health and care personnel that are involved in your treatment.

3: Travel and accommodation expenses for patients or caregivers participating in the advertised program are paid in full, in advance. Scholarships are provided by the conference organisers to allow patients or carergivers affected by the relevant issues to attend as delegates.

All patients and caregivers attend the conference for free.

4: The disability requirements of participants are accommodated. All applicable sessions, breakouts, ancillary meetings, and other program elements are open to patient delegates.

ICIC22 conference venue has the required standards in place to meet accessibility requirements.

5: Access for virtual participants is facilitated, with free streaming video provided online wherever possible.
Either pre-, post-, and/or during the event. Examples include: questions and comments proactively solicited from virtual participants via social media; use of a pre-advertised hashtag; presentations made available for download at no cost.

The main conference sessions will be live streamed. This is free to access and is widely advertised via patient and caregiver advocacy groups, and via social media (eg Facebook). All recorded sessions are also available for free on the IFIC vimeo.
