Scientific Committee
The International Scientific Committee (ISC) brings together a diverse group of researchers, practitioners, clinicians, policymakers, community representatives and people with lived and living experience from across North America and the wider international integrated care community.
Its membership reflects the multidisciplinary nature of integrated care and NACIC27’s focus on Community as the Catalyst: Advancing Integrated Primary Healthcare for Health and Wellbeing. We recognise that valuable knowledge comes from research and evaluation, professional practice, communities and people’s direct experience of giving and receiving care. Bringing these perspectives together helps ensure that the scientific programme is relevant, inclusive and grounded in the realities of people, communities, services and systems.
With strong representation from Canada, North America and the wider international community, the ISC helps shape the scientific quality and relevance of NACIC27. Members peer review abstracts, identify emerging areas of research and practice, advise on gaps and priorities within the programme, and encourage participation through their professional, organisational and community networks.
Collectively, the Committee helps create a programme where research evidence, professional expertise, community knowledge and lived and living experience come together to support shared learning, strengthen integrated primary healthcare and advance health and wellbeing.
