Building health and care system resilience and recovery

By Niamh Daly Day / August 31, 2022

31/08/2022 – 12/12/2022 @ 12:00 am –

In April 2020, one month after many countries across the world went into lockdown and health and care systems in many countries were dealing with the consequences of the pandemic, the International Foundation for Integrated Care launched a webinar series over five months. We convened integrated care practitioners from across the world to share their immediate experience of coping with this challenge and the effect it was having on care and outcomes. The International Foundation for Integrated Care are revisiting some of the webinars from the original series in the Autumn 2022. We will be bringing together international panels to explore the experience of integrated care in the context of the pandemic response, what we learnt and are taking forward to build health and care system resilience and recovery in different countries and what still needs to be learnt. We will link this to the Foundation’s 9 pillars of integrated care with a particular focus on workforce, communities and digitalisation.

IHF’s Cybersecurity in Healthcare: How can you protect your organizational reputation?

By Niamh Daly Day / August 11, 2022

11/08/2022 @ 2:30 pm – 3:45 pm –

Do you have a plan in place for when your hospital or healthcare organization is hit by significant and potentially crippling cyber-attacks? Join the IHF’s Harnessing Big Data Special Interest Group for a lunch and learn session focused on how CEOs and other C-suite executives can prepare effective strategic communications prior to, during and after a cyber-attack – to help minimize the negative impact on your reputation. Recent studies indicate that healthcare providers experienced nearly 700 data breaches or cyber-attacks in 2021, with the majority being ransomware. A further emerging trend suggests that most attacks now include exfiltration of patient data, staff personal information, vendor services, and even medical devices. In addition to the ‘technical’ and ‘operational’ aspects of preparing for, responding to, and recovering from a cyber-attack, healthcare organizations also need to develop an effective, proactive strategic communication plan. If you are a clinical or managerial executive in a hospital system with responsibilities and decision-making accountabilities for strategic communication initiatives or you have an interest in crisis communications in healthcare, don’t miss this virtual event!
