Expert Workshop on Health and Social Care – Challenges of Policy Integration
Joint Programming Initiative ‘More Years, Better Lives’ (JPI MYBL) is organizing an online expert workshop on health and social care – challenges of policy integration on 29 November 2021 (13.30-17.30 CEST). You can find more background information, the draft agenda and the list of invited experts via this link.
JPI MYBL aims to provide scientific evidence that informs policy. The integration of health and social cares systems has gained an important place in national and international policy agendas. JPI MYBL intends to contribute to overcoming silos in this area by organizing an expert workshop to identify unchartered, still under researched areas of integrated care and good examples of policy related to an ageing society that exist across government departments and agencies at national, regional and local levels, especially in social care and health.
During the workshop we would like to introduce experts to the background of the topic within the JPI MYBL programme. Objectives of the workshop are:
- To identify areas in which further research is needed regarding the policy and practice of integrated care in JPI MYBL member states;
- To agree upon models that work and facilitate integration at local, regional and national levels as well as on persisting challenges/obstacles with a view on related needs for further research;
- To prepare recommendations for the General Assembly for further proceedings.
We are looking for experts and relevant stakeholders in the field of integrated care. I was wondering if you could distribute this invitation among your members in the JPI MYBL member states (Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom).
