The International Conference on Integrated Care 2026

The 26th International Conference on Integrated Care (ICIC26) in partnership with The International Journal of Integrated Care (IJIC) and the University of Birmingham will take place on 14-16 May 2026, with the overarching theme ‘’ the conference will bring together leaders, researchers, clinicians, managers, community representatives, patients and caregivers from around the world who are engaged in the design and delivery of integrated health and care.

Scientific Committee

The International Scientific Committee (ICS) is made up of international experts from research, policy and practice and representatives from the host country. The ISC will lead the scientific process and will seek abstracts of good practice in research, policy, practice and education from around the world.

The International Scientific Committee (ICS) includes people with lived experience including patients and caregivers.

Organising Committee

The Organising Committee leads the planning, organisation, implementation and assessment of the conference. The organising committee work alongside and supports the work of the International Scientific Committee.

The Organising Committee for this conference is formed from IFIC’s core team led by Fiona Lyne, Conference Director and representatives from our co-hosts.

The Organising Committee includes patient and caregiver representation to support a patient, caregiver and family-centred focus on the design and delivery of the full conference programme.

Patients Included

ICIC26 is co-designed with patients and caregivers and achieves Patients Included designation. Special consideration is given to papers that demonstrate active people involvement and engagement in either or all of design, implementation and evaluation. Patient and Caregivers attend the conference for free, but we cannot cover accommodation and travel costs. We encourage papers from patient and caregivers, but also suggest that health and care researchers and practitioners should encourage patient and caregiver partners to co-present where appropriate and fund travel and accommodation costs if possible.
