IFIC Canada Virtual Community Care 2023

It has been 5 years since our initial launch of IFIC Canada at the ICIC18 Conference in Utrecht. Since then, the IFIC Community and the reach of our collective work has grown tremendously.

IFIC Canada, the North American Centre for Integrated Care, aims to create a platform to improve the capabilities of individuals and organizations in advancing Integrated Care. To achieve this we created a virtual community that is hosted and convened quarterly. Through the virtual community, we bring together diverse speakers and hundreds of attendants to share knowledge and practice to advance integrated care.

In addition to the virtual community, we also host in-person events and experiences. At the recent International Conference on Integrated Care (ICIC), IFIC Canada hosted an evening social attended by Canadian and North American delegates. Our community’s presence as part of the international community on Integrated care has grown, with over 150 Canadian attending ICIC as speakers, presenters and delegates.

This year, IFIC Canada, the North American Centre for Integrated Care, achieved a milestone in becoming an Extra department unit at the University of Toronto. EDU are flexible and multidisciplinary entities organized around emerging research and teaching areas that span disciplines. Becoming an EDU further solidifies our ability to advance knowledge exchange and build capabilities.
We are pleased to host an upcoming Virtual Community with a focus on our renewal and path forward.

We look forward to continuing to bring our community together to learn and have an impact.
