*** Professional Programme on European Health Care and Social Systems in Transition is celebrating its 10th year anniversary this year***
Since 2007, the European Forum Alpbach has organised the Summer School on European Health Care and Social Systems in Transition in collaboration with the Medical University of Vienna. Over the years, the summer school has gained international reputation for its high quality speakers and comprehensive tackling of the issues surrounding health and social care reforms. With the move of Dr Viktoria Stein, the chair of the summer school, to IFIC, the organisation of the summer school has now been added to the portfolio of the Integrated Care Academy(c). The new partnership between IFIC and the European Forum Alpbach has also resulted in a rebranding of the course to the “Professional Programme on European Health Care and Social Systems in Transition”.
The aim of this week-long intensive summer course is to give a comprehensive insight into the intricacies of organizing and reforming health and social care systems, and the interrelationships between economics, public health, health sciences, regulations and many other fields governing the decision makers, professionals and people alike. International experts from these various backgrounds will give hands-on input, while small group work, discussions and case studies will ensure an inspiring and interactive learning environment.
