On May 25th, the International Hospital Federation (IHF) will host a virtual event on the implementation and distribution of COVID-19 vaccines in Portuguese-speaking countries across the world. Thought leaders from the healthcare sector will come to together to examine the first six months of the vaccine’s implementation and distribution, debrief and discuss challenges and successes, and explore the perspectives for the future. The event will be held exclusively in the Portuguese language.

From the earliest stages of the coronavirus crisis, governments have struggled to find ways to work together and control the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This pandemic has challenged the global resilience of healthcare systems and workers, but also proved the capital importance of collaborative international efforts and strategies to overcome this worldwide crisis.

The development of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines has been widely considered an essential component of the strategy to control the spread of the virus and its impacts. The deployment of COVID-19 vaccines around the world has brought new hope, but also a new challenge: how to implement vaccination programs effectively and equitably, on both national and global levels?

You are invited to participate in this exclusive virtual roundtable in May.
