Children, Young People
and their Families SIG

Aim: The purpose of the Children, Young People and their Families Special Interest Groups (CYFSIG) is to pursue an integrated care agenda that recognises and responds to the specific needs of this population. The SIG will bring together interested parties across the globe committed to promoting and protecting the health, development and wellbeing of children, young people and their families.

Objectives: To create a forum for like-minded professionals from across organisational, sectorial and geographical boundaries to come together to promote the agenda for integrated care for children, young people and families. Members would work towards collaborative research and joint publications, support a shared platform of lessons learnt and successful case studies, projects, programs of work, models of care, frameworks, tools and resources and pooled data and resources to facilitate comparative work.

The SIG will
• advocate for an integrated approach to care as it applies to children, young people and their families
• provide collegial leadership in this area locally, nationally and globally
• create enabling environments to deliver integrated care by aligning policy, information and services
• strengthen evidence that integrated care for children, young people and their families improves outcomes
• build capacity to translate such evidence into practice
