Nieves joined IFIC in 2017 with the aim of supporting the development of a package of Integrated Care Solutions to help organisations in the effective design and adoption of their integrated care programmes. Integrated Care Solutions provides tailored support that help to advance strategic thinking and translating that into implementation, enabling sustainable service transformation at local, regional and national levels. Nieves also supports IFIC in projects such as TransForm (The Transnational Forum on Integrated Community Care), Digital Health Europe, VIGOUR, EURIPHI and on establishing an IFIC Latin America Hub.
With a Master’s in Health Sciences (Health Management Stream), Nieves has over 10 years’ experience focusing on health services planning, redesign and improvement, including performance measurement and evaluation. She has a passion for improving health services and a particular interest in the integration of health and social care services, redesigning care so that it is organised around patients and people rather than providers. She enjoys working at all levels – from supporting clinical and community leaders to drive transformation to providing robust research and analysis to inform decision-making.
