This immersive learning experience responds to demand from the health and aged care sectors in Australia and the Asia Pacific to help build knowledge, capacity and skills to support the effective design and adoption of integrated care in practice. The two-day course is designed as a short, intensive, residential program for individuals, teams and local partners to support the advancement of their integrated care projects and plans in their own context.

Designing and Implementing Integrated Care – An Accelerated Learning Course for Leaders in Integrated Care Programs in AustraliaCentre for Rural and Remote Mental Health, University of Newcastle, Orange, New South Wales

This series, aimed at health and social care workers and service leads, presented by IFIC Ireland in partnership with the Centre for Empowerment of People and Communities (CEmPaC) will examine the area of Patient Empowerment and the role it plays in achieving true integrated care.

The International Summer School Integrated Care© is organized by the International Foundation for Integrated Care and provides a one-week intensive training on theory and practice of integrated care. It is aimed at health and social care professionals, clinicians, researchers and managers who want to strengthen their understanding of integrated care, get a comprehensive overview of the state of the art in theory and practice, and hone their competencies in analyzing, designing, evaluating and practicing integrated care. The course has been developed for those who are tasked with designing, implementing, leading and/or managing integrated care and want to learn more about the tools and instruments which are available to them with evidence from around the world.

Students are trained as doctoral level experts in integrated behavioral healthcare and are prepared to deliver patient-centered care, work in interdisciplinary teams, employ evidence-based practice and quality improvement approaches, and utilize informatics in primary care and other medical settings. The Mission of the Doctor of Behavioral Health Program is to educate integrated care professionals to best deliver whole-person healthcare to diverse communities and to improve access to quality healthcare for all people.
