The International Foundation of Integrated Care (IFIC) is looking to recruit a Director of Integrated Care Programmes to join its dynamic and dedicated team to help lead and grow IFIC’s range of activities as it transitions towards a truly global organization that seeks to advance the science, knowledge and adoption of integrated care in policy and practice around the world.
Working in collaboration with IFIC’s CEO and the senior management team (SMT), the Director of Integrated Care Programmes will be responsible for the development, oversight, coordination and organization of IFIC’s full portfolio of programmes. This will include leadership of IFIC’s education and training programme – the Integrated Care Academy© – IFIC’s research and development activities, and IFIC’s growing portfolio of implementation support work through its Integrated Care Solutions© initiative. The postholder will spearhead the formulation of IFIC’s policies in these areas, growing its portfolio of activities in a sustainable manner to ensure the continued delivery of high quality activities that benefit IFIC’s range of key beneficiaries.
In close cooperation with the CEO, the Director of Programmes will set the scope and priorities of this work in collaboration with the Directors and the IFIC Board. The postholder will be expected to show both leadership and entrepreneurship in growing IFIC’s range of educational activities under the umbrella of the Integrated Care Academy©, expand the products and courses available to IFIC partners and external clients, and secure IFIC’s role as the knowledge leader in integrated care research, education, design, implementation and evaluation. Consequently, this portfolio encompasses a wide range of activities including the coordination of summer schools, fellowship programmes, and similar; the management and oversight of EU and other research projects; the internal management of staff and back office functions; as well as the communication and relationship building with IFIC’s external partners. The postholder will thus be line managing all workstream leads and ensure that the various products and events are coordinated, and in line with IFIC’s aims and objectives. The postholder will be responsible that enough resources are available to deliver on the projects and activities, and set priorities, where necessary. A key activity of the role will thus be to actively engage with the IFIC network and establish closer working relationships with the various partners.
The postholder will also be expected to play a key strategic role in supporting IFIC’s annual conference and event series, its communication processes and day-to-day operational management. The role will require close collaboration with IFIC staff, as well as IFIC’s Associates, Knowledge Partners, and growing number of international Collaborative Centres.
The postholder, educated to degree level, will have an expert understanding of the concept of integrated care, as well as experience working in an international environment leading and managing educational, research and developmental programmes. The postholder will bring an extensive experience in project management, including experience in the design and development of new projects and products for a multi-disciplinary audience.
A key aspect of the role will be to support IFIC in deriving income generation opportunities to meet its costs.
