Celebrating the launch of IFIC Australia, CEO Dr Nick Goodwin sets out his ambitions for the collaboration, and unveils plans to promote Integrated Care in Australia and the wider Asia Pacific Region.
“IFIC Australia is as a Collaborative Centre between IFIC and the Centre for Rural and Remote Mental Health (CRRMH) at the University of Newcastle, NSW. The core mission of IFIC Australia is to develop capacity and capabilities in Australia and the Asia Pacific Region in the design and delivery of integrated care. IFIC Australia seeks to achieve this by providing a platform to develop and exchange ideas and promote activities in the region in keeping with its mission.
Over the past few years, IFIC Australia has since supported a series of activities to promote and support integrated care in Australia and the Asia-Pacific Region. Since July 2017, IFIC Australia has sought to develop an inaugural group of Partners to help take forward IFIC’s mission and aims on a more sustained basis. IFIC and its Partners are working together to develop projects, educational activities and material of mutual benefit that meet the aims and objectives of IFIC Australia. This work is supported by an IFIC Australia Partnership Committee that will comprise the organizing parties of the IFIC Australia Collaborating Centre together with its associates and Partners.”
The next meeting of the Committee will be held on Tuesday 20th March 2018, at 11.30am to 1pm, in the Boardroom of the University of Newcastle Sydney Campus, 55 Elizabeth Street, Sydney, NSW. This will be followed by a seminar led by Dr Nick Goodwin examining Frameworks for Assessing Integrated Care and hosted by NSW Health at Parliament House between [add time]
