AMR Study
AMR Study
Study on the barriers to effective development and implementation of national policies on antimicrobial resistance (2021/P1/02), for HaDEA (2022-2023) under Framework Contract SANTE/2021/OP/002 concerning the provision of services in the areas of evaluation, impact assessment, monitoring of implementation and other related services in relation to health and food policies.
The main objective of the study is to support the preparation of future EU policy initiatives on antimicrobial resistance (AMR). It will respond to the call for action in the 2019 Council Conclusions on AMR and support the implementation of the EU One Health action plan against AMR. Its interim and final results shall bring evidence for future policy initiatives or actions at EU level to support Member States in the effective development and implementation of AMR policies and measures. More specifically, the study shall provide a detailed analysis of the existing barriers to the development and effective implementation of:
• National One Health action plans to address AMR;
• Effective infection prevention and control measures in human health; and
• Effective antimicrobial stewardship measures in human health.
The study requires desk and field research across 29 study countries (the EU 27 Member States, Norway and Iceland).
