Biography

Arturo joined the International Foundation for Integrated Care in 2021 as a senior researcher. He is the lead for the Integrated Care Solutions stream of the work conducted by the Foundation and is working on a number of EU-funded projects, including ProCare4Life (Personalised Integrated Care Promoting Quality of Life for Older People), Cancerless (care navigation for homeless) and EU4Child (A Knowledge Base for Childhood Cancer).

Before joining the Foundation in 2021, Arturo was the Director of the Spanish Observatory on Integrated Care (OMIS) of the New Health Foundation, working with various Spanish health authorities to develop integrated care policies. Prior to that, he was policy consultant and researcher at the King’s Fund in London. He completed his PhD in Politics at the University of Nottingham (UK).

Arturo has a track record of publications in various health policy themes, including integrated care, health governance and the health policy process. He also teaches at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine on health systems and the health policy process.
