Biography

Jacque Mallender is an international health and public policy economist. She helps stakeholders to identify and demonstrate their value, and the value of their ideas for improving health and care. She has directed and delivered many engagements in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, North America and Africa. Her particular focus is on the economics of health systems, health financing, strategic purchasing, population health management, integrated care, health workforce transformation and digital health. She is a co-founder of Economics By Design Ltd.

Jacque also designs and delivers health system economics training for health professionals including Health Economics Explained. She delivers the annual health economics workshop on the Management in Medicine Programme for Green Templeton College, Oxford University.

Jacque is a consultant with the World Bank Group, an Executive Committee member of the Economic Research Council, and she also sits on the Advisory Board for the Nottingham University School of Economics. Jacque was a founding convenor of the joint Campbell and Cochrane Economics Methods Group.
