National Programme Manager for the National Integrated Care Programme Older Persons

Biography

PJ has worked in a variety of roles in Healthcare over the past 35 years before becoming the National Programme Manager for the National Integrated Care Programme Older Persons. This included working in clinical practice, establishing community mental health teams and initiating education and service innovations to support new models of care. He has held various senior managerial positions locally and nationally including as hospital CEO and service improvement roles addressing unscheduled care. He originally qualified as a mental health nurse and holds a Masters in Nursing as well as a Masters in Healthcare Management. He has led the development of postgraduate education, collaborated on a number of research initiatives and holds a PhD in the area of implementing integrated care.
