Biography
I have a long and eventful professional career as a nurse, midwife and public health nurse. I have worked and studied in Ireland and the UK and am educated to Doctorate level. I have extensive experience in acute, community, management, operations, Department of Health policy development, national HSE corporate and academic arenas. I am active in service developments particularly in integrated care both nationally and internationally (Italy and china).
I am a Board member and sub-committee member in charitable organisations. I am also a member of the National Screening Advisory Committee established after the publication of the Scally report into Cervical Screening. I was also one of the members of the Slaintecare Implementation Plan and have extensive experience of working in the community and therefore identify with the challenges and solutions available to implementing the principles of Sláintecare.
